CSMS Introduces a New and Unique CME Series:
“Grand Rounds On-line” Online medical seminars authored by leading physician educators are now available through the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) from the Graduate Education Foundation (GEF). The nearly 140 seminars are original, evidence-based, and timely. They are 1.0 to 2.0 hours in length and cover a broad spectrum of medical and surgical topics, including pediatrics, orthopedics, cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, trauma and emergency medicine, and Connecticut’s 4 mandated topics: Infectious Disease, Risk Management, Sexual Assault, and Domestic Violence. Category 1 credits from the AMA and Category 2A credits from the AOA are available to help you meet Connecticut’s new 50-hour CME requirement for license renewals which started in October, 2007 (CT Public Act 05-275, Sec.24). The CSMS/GEF website is easy to navigate, available 24/7 and accessible as frequently as you like. The unique Grand Rounds format enables users to use the website as a clinical information resource or a library for daily practice.
