The Nordic Outdoor FR PRO Alu Panel is an innovative façade panel that combines a corrosion-resistant aluminium sheet with fire-protected ThermoWood made from Nordic pine. The wood is heat-treated without chemicals, enhancing resistance to rot, fungi, and moisture while ensuring long-lasting durability with minimal maintenance. The panel blends functionality with a clean, natural look that supports modern architecture.
The B-s2,d0 certified panel meets EU façade safety standards for buildings up to 22 metres in height – ideal for public, commercial, and private construction where fire safety and material quality are paramount. The product is patent pending.
The panel is designed for efficient installation on steel or timber substrates using colour-matched façade screws. The combination of carefully selected materials and simple installation ensures a stable, aesthetic, and long-lasting façade where function and form go hand in hand.

Substrate and Construction Requirements
• The panel is mounted on a horizontal substrate made of either steel or timber.
• Maximum batten spacing: Max C/C 600 mm for optimal stability.
• The substrate must be flat, stable, and suitable for outdoor use.
Fastening
• Use Nordic Outdoor PRO Alu façade screws (aluminium-compatible).
• Panels are fastened directly through the aluminium sheet into the substrate.
• A minimum of 12 screws per m² is recommended for secure attachment.
Step-by-Step Installation
1. Preparation: Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and flat.
2. Installing battens: Mount battens with a maximum spacing of C/C 600 mm. Check alignment.
3. Fastening panels: Fix the panels with Nordic Outdoor PRO Alu façade screws.
4. Overlap: Panels should be installed with vertical overlap to ensure consistent water drainage and a harmonious façade.
Finishing and Inspection
• Verify that all panels are properly mounted and aligned.

Maintenance Guide
To ensure that the Nordic Outdoor FR PRO Alu Panel retains its aesthetic appearance and long lifespan, regular inspection and light maintenance are recommended. Thermally treated wood typically requires less maintenance than untreated wood, but external factors such as weather, sunlight, and moisture can affect the surface over time.

Cleaning the Panels

Natural Patina of the Wood
Over time, ThermoWood will naturally develop a silver-grey patina due to UV exposure. This process does not affect the wood’s durability but contributes to a more weathered aesthetic. The product must not be painted or surface-treated, as this would compromise its fire-resistant properties.
