Walmer Fire Brigade

1942 Original Constitution Maldon Shire was founded and gazetted in the 1850’s. For the expedience of adminstration, colleting and allocating rate revenue and councillor representation, the Shire was divided into three areas, called Ridings, more commonly known as Wards.

Baringhup Riding was all of the west area of Maldon. The Maldon Riding was all of the area within the township of Maldon and the Walmer Riding was all of the area east of Maldon.
