rincipal Optometrist of EyeQ Port Macquarie, Adrian Cornale is busy planning for the future of his practice.
"We are constantly striving to improve our service and products. We have just returned from a National Conference and Expo in Melbourne, where we were looking at the latest frame ranges and purchasing new equipment. I’m a strong believer in keeping up with technology to provide the best eye care, but we also understand that our frames not only need to be comfortable, but need to look great. So, we understand fashion plays a huge role. I am proud of the frame ranges we have that are ever changing. Currently we have Furla, Escada, Ferragamo, Oroton, Chloe, Nike, Columbia, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Maui Jim and Gucci plus more!" With a longstanding commitment to the field, highly skilled optical mechanic and dispenser Ted Vogels remarks that he and Adrian have been providing eye care to people of this region for many years. "For me, it been over forty-three years and for Adrian, thirty years. Working together has been an exciting opportunity for us to combine our experience. Our mission statement is to look after our patients' eyes at every stage of life. Seeing generations of families has truly allowed us both to do this, and we thank the many local families for entrusting us with their precious sight." Adrian and Ted both enjoy the challenge of complex vision and frame fittings, which they both continue to provide on a regular basis, but you will find them switching off from their professions in different ways. Adrian enjoys being in the great outdoors, including mountain bike riding and surfing, whilst Ted is fond of more relaxing hobbies, including painting landscapes, seascapes and portraits. When we asked if they could share their dinner tables with two of their heroes, who would they be, Ted mentioned Mahatma Gandhi, for his many quotes of inspiration, one being "an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind", and Adrian brings to mind Heston Blumenthal, "so I could watch him create and eat his scientific inspired dishes that fascinate me, as well as admiring his vast collection of spectacle frames".
