Calling Foodies A L L
FROM PADDOCK TO PLATE
FoodCon 2018 is a unique agrifood industry event, organised by Coffs Harbour City Council. It’s designed for the key players across the food value chain on the Mid North Coast to connect with each other, showcase products and services, and to collaborate and inspire the future direction for our region’s food journey.

n 2017, changes to the format from previous Food Forum events brought together expert speakers and great local food with more “meet and mingle” networking opportunities and the hugely-successful, expanded Producers’ Expo. This new format created a winning combination, attracting more than 160 delegates - an increase in attendance of over 100% on the previous year. Connections were established from “paddock to plate” between local farmers, fishermen, producers, food businesses, retailers, wholesalers, restaurants, food tourism operators, chefs and cooks, government services, business and education providers. team said, “The connections and collaborations that are created by allowing people the opportunity to come together are invaluable and is what FoodCon is all about … We are excited to work with the best local food producers and providers to again create an event that is highly-valued by the industry.” COLLABORATION will be the theme for FoodCon 2018, building on the connections established at the 2017 event, and will be represented by inspirational and thoughtprovoking speakers and activities throughout the day, including sessions on regional, individual and digital collaboration, the Harvest Hook-Up “speed dating”, and thought storming ideas for working together effectively.
