the ductwork and fittings are cut out and then assembled. If it is to be insulated, it is sent to factory 3, where a computer controlled cutting table cuts the insulation to the required size and the insulation is then added internally or externally to the ductwork as required. These computer controlled machines also allow us to minimise waste – all scrap metal is picked up weekly by a local scrap metal merchant. The Duct Shop also houses a spiral ductmaking machine that can manufacture round duct from 100 mm diameter to 1390 mm diameter in lengths up to 6 metres.
