doesn't have a specific region that's marked out on a map, but we are trying to reach out to all riders from Port Macquarie to the QLD border who are keen to compete and have a fun day whilst learning new skills to better themselves. What is the role of the older guys in the club for the younger riders? The older guys in the club have a huge amount of experience nationally and internationally, which is a benefit to the younger riders with the knowledge they have with not just competing, but also fitness and strategy whilst competing. In previous Coffs clubs it's always been the older guys who were a pool of knowledge that the younger riders always asked questions of and learned all they could from to better their surfing styles and competition surfing. The National Titles are coming to Coffs Coast, November 11. Tell us about that … Mon 11 Nov to Sat 16 Nov 2013 – there are a few divisions: Open Women Bodyboard, Junior Boys Bodyboard 16-18, Open Men Bodyboard, Senior Men Bodyboard 23-35, Grom Bodyboard 10-13 years, Cadet Bodyboard 14-15 years, Open Drop Knee, Junior Women Bodyboard Under 18 years, Grand Masters Bodyboard Over 45 years, Masters Bodyboard Over 35 years. Also in the final 3 days of the event will be the Rebel Pro, an IBAA Men's 2-Star contest with a $10,000 AUD prize-purse. The contest will draw riders from all over Australia and beyond, but instead of competing for their state, riders will be vying for individual IBAA Rebel Pro Tour ranking points and also points towards a ranking on the prestigious IBA World Tour, so there will be high class riding displayed throughout the week. The Rebel Pro is open to all riders who want to compete, but for the National Titles you have to qualify through State Titles.

How many competitions has the club participated in this year? Being a fledgling club,, this year we have currently run three competitions with a 4th coming at the tail end of the National Titles and Rebel Pro on 17 November with the presentation held afterwards at Hogs Breath Café to announce the winners of that day and also for the year. So, we hope all our current members and families can make it to support one another and the club.

ose Where do you see ... and within th ed rf su ee the club in five years I've fr of e m so at years? I can see and competed ld, or w e th in es our club growing the best wav to i, ai Haw from Pipeline in to be a force to ti, and hi Ta in oo up Teah be reckoned with ve been ha ld none of it wou on the competiarted at st 't dn ha I possible if tion scene again. l. ” a lo cal club leve Many of our riders could do really well nationally and internationally if they want to follow that path. This club is the grass roots for that, and we have the knowledge for our riders to succeed at that level. If anyone wants to join or compete, we have a Facebook page running.

Where in your opinion is the best place to bodyboard on the Coffs Coast? Depending on wind and swell obviously, but Gallows and South Side Sawtell always have a wave to ride locally, but then if you're willing to travel there are breaks further North and South that are uncrowded that you could have the best surf of your life at.
