n apartment community of shipping containers is designed for the Cathedral District area of Downtown. JWB Real Estate Capital submitted plans to the Downtown Development Review Board for the Ashley Street Container Project at 412 E. Ashley St. The 18 studio units, stacked three floors, will rent for $550 a month. “We are really doing the project because we would like to bring a groundbreaking concept like this to Downtown Jax, and hoping others will see it and continue to think outside the box to develop Downtown,” said Jacksonville-based JWB Real Estate Capital President Alex Sifakis in an email.

Lego, the maker of small, plastic interlocking building blocks and toys sold at retailers worldwide, is bringing a store to St. Johns Town Center. The city is reviewing a buildout permit for Lego in a space in front of Dillard’s. No contractor is listed for the $525,350 project to renovate 2,727 square feet of space at 4663 River City Drive, Suite K13A. That appears to be near the Hollister Co. store. The Lego Group is a Denmarkbased privately held, familyowned company with offices in London, Shanghai, Singapore and in Enfield, Connecticut. In addition to selling the products in retail stores and online, Lego operates worldwide stores, including more than 90 among about 35 states. Wayfair setting up office at Cecil Wayfair Inc. is setting up a temporary office in Cecil Commerce Center for operations and hiring as construction continues at its distribution center in the West Jacksonville business park. City Council introduced Ordinance 2019-306 on Tuesday to approve a one-year lease agreement between the city and Wayfair LLC for 1,800 square feet of office space in Building 374 at 6146 Authority Ave. The rental rate is $1,350 a month with a common area maintenance fee of $200.
