Pattillo plans spec Westside warehouse “The market seems ready for space,” says company vice president. By Karen Brune Mathis Editor With a low industrial vacancy rate in West Jacksonville, Pattillo Industrial Real Estate applied for a permit to build a speculative warehouse in Westside Industrial Park. Se n i o r Vi ce P re s i d e n t Peter Anderson said the 272,480-square-foot center can be divided for multiple tenants at a minimum of 90,000 square feet. “The market seems ready for space,” Anderson said. He expects completion in Anderson August. Arco Design/Build Inc. of Atlanta is the contractor for the $6.26 million construction job on 22.3 acres at 6282 Imeson Road. Grier Ferguson Business Observer Tampa-based comfort food restaurant company Metro Diner opened its 50th location March 13. Founded in Jacksonville in 1992, the new Sarasota location is part of a plan to open dozens of new restaurants nationwide this year. The company has grown rapidly in recent years, especially since Mark Davoli and his family, owners of Metro Diner, entered into
a partnership with ConSul Hospitality Group in 2014. ConSul includes restaurant industry veterans Chris Sullivan, Hugh Connerty Jr. and Carl Sahlsten. They founded and led major chains such as Outback Steakhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse. Gramercy Woods gains Oracle Corp. Tech company will lease space in Building 100. By Karen Brune Mathis Editor Gramercy Woods in Southside is gaining another tenant. Oracle Corp. will lease almost 9,000 square feet in Building 100 at the 9000 Southside Blvd. office park. Candice van der Laan, Oracle senior manager of corporate communications, said by email the company declines comment. Plans show Oracle will lease space on the second floor of the 10-story structure.
