Leadership class

hits the ropes

“I appreciate the opportunity to get to do something I would never thought I can do. Now I can say I did it.“

After last month’s orientation, the new 2018-19 LFMWF class had their first day’s session out west! Participants hopped on a bus and headed out to Wesley Acres Camp and Retreat Center ropes course in September. Matt Weis from EDGECRAFT facilitated a day full of teambuilding, leadership development and fun.

“My overall takeaway is not to assume that everyone communicates the same way you do. …vague communication can lead to confusion and frustration. Clear, concise and open communication is key to happy and successful teams in the workplace.”

“I really enjoyed this day much more than I anticipated. I had complete confidence in the team on the ground and felt very safe while climbing. There was a lot learned in the entire day. Overall, I could almost say it was life changing!”
