SPRAYERS

The number one objective with any vineyard spray programme is to ensure the chemical is delivered to the target evenly, consistently and effectively in the most efficient way possible. FMR’s range of canopy and herbicide sprayers delivers against this objective setting a new standard in spraying accuracy.

Every model is designed for ease of operation and over-engineered to meet the demands of Australasia’s viticulture industry, with proven European components.

The tangential fan delivery system used on all FMR manufactured sprayers requires no specialist knowledge to set-up - an operator requires only simple instructions and a few moments to prepare the machine for an excellent result - everytime.

Changing application rates is quick and easy, simply rotating the nozzle bodies to select the appropriate nozzle size, with droplet quality remaining consistent across a wide range of volumes. The ‘curtain of air’ delivery from the tangential fan requires no adjustment or positioning, and direction of total application volume can be quickly and easily directed towards a small target.

All built to the same high level of performance, our wide range of sprayers offers solutions for a variety of operators. From harvester mounted sprayers covering four rows, to linkage sprayers that are ideal for smaller vineyards, all have a focus on low spray drift, ease-of-use and long-life durability.

FMR by Niubo Sprayers FMR Group has complemented our NZ manufactured range with a number of sprayers from our European partner, Niubo.

The FMR by Niubo range of air assisted nozzle sprayers achieves excellent penetration of the canopy with consistently sized droplets, and have delivered above their grade in all independent tests completed.

Well constructed and specified to meet Australian and New Zealand conditions with Bertolini pumps, Arag controllers (where specified), galvanised chassis and booms, and both manual and hydraulic adjustments available.

Designed so that everything is easily accessed for clean-down and requiring little maintenance, the FMR by Niubo range is an excellent option for small to medium vineyards and operators seeking a simple, reliable sprayer.

R-Series GEN II Sprayer As with all primary industries, sustainability is becoming increasingly important to the wine industry. When developing the R-Series we sought to help vineyards deliver against the triple bottom line by ensuring that it delivered economic, environmental and social benefits to owners: • Reduced spray losses to drift by up to 90% at season start • Savings on annual chemical cost of 25-40% • Less off-target spray to cut environmental impact and significantly decrease drift • Improved health and safety of operators with easy set-up, hydraulic drive and controls, and low-noise. V-Series GEN II Sprayer The tangential fan delivery system used on all FMR sprayers ensures the product is distributed to the target evenly and consistently. By providing a curtain of high volume but low-pressure air across the target canopy, even coverage is achieved without any of the ‘striping’ that is often seen with traditional air-blast and air shear delivery systems.

Because the air curtain is emitted from a tangential fan spinning on a vertical axis immediately before the outlet, the air is already turbulent when it is directed at the canopy. This causes the leaves to flutter facilitating excellent penetration into the canopy and bunches.

Harvester Mounted Sprayer FMR’s Harvester Mounted Sprayer offers a new level of efficiency, spraying three complete rows in a single pass using the R-Series shrouding system to eliminate drift and recapture unused spray; four rows if the V-Series option is used.

Our range of trimmers are all fitted with ProCut cutter blades, uniquely shaped and manufactured from high grade stainless steel for clean cutting at high speeds.

STANDARD FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

The new ‘View’ vine trimmer is a perfect example of ERO’s customer driven approach. It was developed in response to requests from the market for increased visibility and a lower centre of gravity plus the need to operate on terraced or undulating terrain.

ERO VITECO Cane Pruner The ERO Viteco Cane Pruner really does make the arduous job of pruning quicker and easier. All movable lifting and fruiting wires on the machine side of the trellis are guided to the mulcher-head, which removes and shreds all canes and material that was attached to the wires by tendrils and ties.

HOW IT WORKS: The ERO VITECO Cane Pruner strips the wires of shoots, tendrils and canes by raising the movable lifting wire and the fruiting wires on the machine side of the trellis, and guiding them to the mulcher head.

With the chemical treatment of vineyard weeds coming under scrutiny and the increasing cost of chemicals, there’s a growing call for ways of maintaining vineyard spaces without the use of herbicides.

At FMR we’ve taken this challenge seriously by expanding our range to encompass both undervine and inter-row mowers.
