Founded in 1978 as an engineering consultancy, F&M Ingegneria has rapidly grown, becoming a company at the cutting edge. Presently, F&M has taken part in the realization of more than 1,500 projects of different types and complexities. Our aim has always been the same: providing high quality services according to the client’s requirements and suggestions. F&M Ingegneria are a 250 people strong practice, 70 of whom are located in the main headquarters in Mirano, Venice, with the others located in satellite offices in Milan, Rome, Paris, Muscat, Cologne, Beijing, Dubai, Doha, Beirut, Podgorica, New York & Salalah. F&M Middle East office located in Muscat is considered the 3rd largest office in the company chain. On staff level we have engineers, architects and technicians who use the most sophisticated instrumentation. In 2010 F&M Ingegneria extends the activities in the Middle East region, establishing an Omani Branch in Muscat that became F&M Middle East Engineering Consultancy LLC in 2015. In 2018 the expansion continues with the establishment of F&M Division Impianti Srl to develop the experience in MEP sector. The Oman Air Crew Reporting Building is the newest, and perhaps the most vibrant addition to the newly inaugurated Muscat International Airport. The building is to function as a miniature airport dedicated to the growing Oman Air Cabin Crew and other international carriers, encompassing areas for briefing and debriefing areas, departure and arrivals lounges, Royal Oman Police Offices (immigration, customs, Security) and state of the art automated baggage check in, which is the first of its kind to be used in the airport premises, amongst other high-tech equipment. The building is to also to house the head offices of some of the subsidiaries of Oman Aviation Group.
The building stands on a plot of about 25,000 SQM with a built up area of about 7,300 SQM. The project is characterized with a light gray aluminum facade highlighted by soft blue LED lights that animate all the sides of the building. The eastern side of the building is highlighted by the contemporary interpretation of an arch folding outwards and containing a beautiful golden pattern giving a subtle reference to local architectural language.

The project involves a 4-Star Hotel located approximately 16 kilometers from Muscat International Airport.
The Hilton Garden Inn will feature 232 guest rooms. It will be the first Hilton in Muscat and the second one in the Sultanate. The landmark structure is seven stories and is designed in such a way to respect its surroundings. The buildings sections and elevations are designed to minimize close views into neighboring building which is an important factor in the aligns with the local culture. The views, however, will be compensated by the eloquently designed urban park placed in front of the hotel.

Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Oman Pavilion in Expo 2020. The Oman Pavilion in Expo 2020 titled ‘Generations of Opportunity’ is based on storytelling of Luban and its life cycle. Each part of the life cycle allows us to explore Opportunity through the themes of Growth, Harvest,Trade and Use. Oman Pavilion Expo 2020 draws inspiration from local Omani nature that represents opportunity, with the main source of inspiration being the Luban Tree. That references the long trade history linked to the Luban tree and frankincense that spanned centuries, and the opportunity it represents to this day as a unique natural element and local product. The structure is made up of ground floor, first and second floors, with a BUA of about 2,200 SQM. The form is inspired from the Luban tree itself. The low shade-giving branches of the tree are recalled in the organic asymmetrical flowing form of the building. The structure is also characterized with the fact that it can be dismantled to be transported back to the Sultanate.

The contemporary art world is all about minimalism. The design concept is derived from the historical “Majan” civilization; where the colors, tones and feel of the overall space are reminiscent of the copper production, as well as the natural landscapes of the area which was formerly called Majan. One of the key aspects of this lounge, which is not found in any others in the airport, is the presence of a relaxation pool, intended to bring a calm atmosphere away from the busy airport.

A proposal was made for a boutique hotel plan in the old town of Muttrah, consisting of 18 plots located in 5 clusters.
The old town hosts large historical units that are currently under renovation.
F&M ME team explored some unique spaces such as; the courtyard of Bait Al Khonji, Al Bait restaurant and the reception area in terms of interior design and mood boards.
