Meet at hotel lobby, take a 2-hour drive to Kinabalu National Park (KNP) headquarter. Register at Kinabalu Park HQ. Meet up with Sabah Park’s mountain guide. Pick-up packed lunch individually at Balsam Restaurant. By shuttle bus, transfer to Timpohon Gate, the starting point. Start hiking up Mount Kinabalu. Arrive at Pendant Hut and Check-in (dorm) Attend the mandatory via ferrata familiarization and meet your via Ferrata Trainer. Dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant. Good night! Overnight at Mountain Hut: Pendant Hut Dorm Day 02 0130hrs Wake up and take an early breakfast at Pendant Hut. 0230hrs Start hiking up to the summit with Sabah Parks’ mountain guide. 0540hrs Catch the sunrise on Low’s Peak. 0600hrs Descent from Low’s Peak. 0630hrs Meet up the Ferrata trainer at 7.5km mark for Low’s Peak Circuit via ferrata experience (intermediate via ferrata, 4-5 hours, French grade AD). 1100hrs Return to Pendant Hut for a well earned breakfast. 1200hrs Check out of Pendant Hut, descent to Timpohon Gate with Sabah Parks’ mountain guide. 1600hrs Arrive at Timpohon Gate. By shuttle bus or van, transfer to Kinabalu National Park HQ. 1800hrs Rest or take a nap while being transferred back to Kota Kinabalu hotel by a 2-hour drive.
