Florim Hashani Graphic Design / Icon design, logo design, handwritting My name is Florim Hashani i was born in Prizren-Kosovo in 4th february 1995. I finished my primary school in “Mati Logoreci” and the high school in Gymnasium Natural Science “Gjon Buzuku”. Since when i was a kid i enjoyed with art, drawings, design painting and whatever. I exhibit a few art works specially my designs and my first calligraphy work in gothic style, in Art Gallery of Faculty of Arts. Now i study in Faculty of Arts in University of “Hasan Prishtina” in Prishtina in departament of graphic design.

ICON DESIGN Iconography is arguably the Esperanto of the digital world.

Icons cannot replace the written word, yet they serve as cognitive waypoints for areas of interest and/or interaction.

Iconography can also be an efďŹ cient way to communicate a concept in a small amount of space, which is increasingly important in the era of the shrinking screen. At its most basic, icon design is an exercise in illustration; at its most complex, the creation of a communication system. If understanding how to design icons wasn't enough, the way they are produced and displayed on a screen can have immeasurable impact on a person's experience.

ILLUSTRATIONS An illustration is a decoration, interpretation or visual explanation of a text, concept or process, designed for integration in published media, such as posters, yers, magazines, books, teaching materials, animations, video games and ďŹ lms.

The illustrations of medieval codices were known as illuminations, and were individually hand drawn and painted. With the invention of the printing press during the 15th century, books became more widely distributed, often illustrated with woodcuts.

CALLIGRAPHY & HANDWRITING Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing.

It is the design and execution of lettering with a broad tip instrument, brush, among other writing instruments. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be deďŹ ned as, "the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner" Modern calligraphy ranges from functional inscriptions and designs to ďŹ ne-art pieces where the letters may or may not be readable.[1][page needed] Classical calligraphy differs from typography and non-classical hand-lettering, though a calligrapher may practice both.
