Fluid RP Rules & Guidelines
When entering the city you should design a character that is di erent from your true self and to play as though you arethe character that you have created. Your behaviours and interactions in the city should only reflect the thoughts, behaviours and mannerisms of your character.
Stay in character
You should remain in character at ALL times when you are in the city. It is only in a sta situation where it is acceptable to go OOC.
Value of Life
You must value your life and the lives of other characters at all times, despite gameplay mechanics that allow players to respawn or return after being downed
Fear for your life
If someone holds a gun to your head, react in a way you fear for your life. Hold your hands up and comply
Metagaming
Metagaming and the use of information obtained out of the city and will not be tolerated Metagaming is the use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character has not yet learned You cannot know or act on any information that your character hasn’t directly learned through roleplay within the city.
Powergaming
Powergaming in all forms is prohibited. Powergaming is the the act of using a game mechanic, external information, or a roleplay concept to favor a specific character or story and give them an unfair or unrealistic advantage
Blurring
There must be a clear separation between ‘in character’ (IC) and ‘out of character’ (OOC) behaviour and knowledge If your personal feelings begin to bleed into the roleplay, it is advised that you take a break from the server If you continue to act based on OOC feelings, beliefs, disagreements or other information in character, especially in a toxic manner, we will be forced to remove you from the server
Overreacting
If a player breaks a core roleplay rule during the scene, always stay in character, finish the roleplay to the best of your ability, and report it later. Witnessing a player breaking a cardinal rule is not permission to break rules yourself Always do your best to respect the art of roleplay and uphold city standards
Admins
Abuse of admins will not be tolerated, be respectful and calm when an admin engages with you Admins have the final say in terms of punishment Any abuse aimed towards sta will result in a flight.
