Guitar Amplifiers – How to choose the right one?

Within the last 70 years, the electric guitar has unmistakably become the most cherished and adored musical instrument in the world. Due primarily to the advent of rock ‘n roll in the 1950s, but also more recently due to the multitude of bands playing not only rock, but heavy metal, blues and many other musical styles. Because of these many styles, there are also many different sounds that a guitar can (and needs to) produce. Every guitar player, whether a professional or amateur, wants the music they make to be heard loud and clear. A guitar amplifier is specifically designed to amplify the sound signal fed to it from the pickups on a guitar and, in turn, drives the loudspeaker. An acoustic guitar requires no amplifier to be heard (due to the acoustic sound box the strings are attached to) but an amplifier is absolutely necessary with an electric guitar.
