THESIS : Sustainable Dwells for Well-Being and Multi Generations
Purpose of the Project
Sustainable Dwells for Well-being and Multi-generation Living is a research project exploring the dynamics of multigenerational housing. The project addresses common misunderstandings that arise when people of different ages live together, acknowledging that each generation has distinct views, attitudes, and needs. Through careful analysis of each age group’s perspectives and requirements, this research aims to develop architectural solutions that foster meaningful interaction and accommodate diverse activities. The ultimate goal is to create spaces that bridge generational gaps and promote harmonious coexistence within shared living environments.
Well-Being

INTRODUCTION
The clients, currently residing in a condominium, wish to return to the Thong Lor district where they previously lived. As a professional photographer, the client envisions a minimalist home that maximizes natural light and incorporates both a photography studio and gallery space. This relocation represents not just a change of residence, but an opportunity to create a space that seamlessly blends their living requirements with their creative profession.
CONCEPT
The property features a thoughtfully designed green buffer zone that serves as a natural boundary between private and public spaces. This landscaped area not only creates a clear spatial separation but also functions as a transitional element, enhancing privacy while maintaining visual appeal.

MIXED USE PROJECT - Neighbor Hub 2020
Neighbor Hub project
The project explores housing dynamics through a comparative study of residential patterns in Japan and Singapore, focusing on the concept of shared living spaces. Central to the design is a complex housing model that encourages social interaction and community engagement through strategically designed public and shared areas that support residents’ collective and individual needs.

Diagram
The site is located at On-nut, directly in front of a BTS station and surrounded by commercial buildings.
20m road setback. Maximum building height: 60m. Building can use full width behind setback line.
Mass design adapted for function: top zone pushed up for emphasis, lower public zone connects to parking building.
Three entrances: main access from BTS On-nut station, second from pedestrian walkway, and service entrance connecting parking to main building.
The building mass steps down towards the rear to emphasize the front facade, which contains the primary functions and spaces.
The building is designed to be more user-friendly by adding green and public spaces. The lower levels will have parks, while the upper levels will have public amenities and green spaces.
Three cores serve different zones: front core supports public functions, middle core acts as main circulation, and back core serves parking. The building is divided into public lower floors and private residential upper floors.
The project’s final design features a transparent facade for the upper levels and multi-level parks in the lower zone, creating a more connected and user-friendly environment.
