Darwin Fuchs Memorial Scholarship
Applications Due by August 31 - Turn in to IAFE Office
The IAFE lost a great friend of the industry with the passing of Darwin Fuchs. Darwin may best be remembered for his 34-year tenure with the Dade County Youth Fair, now known as the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition. He was very active in the IAFE, working on several committees, attaining his CFE in 1979 and serving in the positions of Treasurer and Board Chair. He was inducted into the IAFE Hall of Fame in 1994. Darwin was always willing to share his vast knowledge of the fair industry with others. After his retirement from the fair, Darwin continued to remain involved and engaged in the fair industry attending meetings and visiting with friends and colleagues as often as he could. The IAFE Education Foundation, along with Darwin’s family and the Miami-Dade Youth Fair have established a memorial scholarship, for IAFE Institute of Fair Management enrollees, in honor of Darwin’s service and passion for our industry.
