Festa della Donna may be celebrated off and on throughout the rest of the world, but in Italy International Women’s Day is a serious event, celebrating women around the world and giving men and women alike a more meaningful opportunity to celebrate and support the women in their lives. Festa della Donna occurs annually on March 8, and events vary year to year. Many opt for a private celebration, but for those looking to get out and about choices will certainly abound. Events range from merely fun to having more lasting significance.
