Ischia ITALY The largest of the islands in the Gulf of Naples, Ischia rises out of the blue Tyrrhenian Sea like a rugged yet peaceful giant. Visitors come here looking to indulge in luxurious resorts, pristine beaches, natural thermal spas and mud baths, and of course, amazing Italian

Situated along the western coast of Ischia, Forio is the island’s second largest town

and covers an area of roughly 13 square kilometres. The commune of Forio also includes the frazione (village) of Panza.

Forio is famous for its picturesque town with shops, cinema, restaurants, bars and cafes. It is also home to the church, Chiesa del Soccorso, which is one of the

prettiest sights in Ischia. In the centre of Forio you will also find the Torrione Museum, an ancient look-out tower that was built to keep enemy forces at bay.
