Our Story

One day long ago, Trip decided he was way too spastic to sit in a cubicle.

He finished sailing up from the Caribbean and was wondering why the heck doesn't anyone in Newport, for crying out loud, carry cool nautical chart gifts?

Known to take matters into his own hands, he began making cool gifts using charts and by chance met Tanya, who considers herself a gift giving queen. The 2 of them put their fun heads together and have spent the last 2 decades creating gorgeous family-friendly gifts that celebrate the most amazing places that we hold dear in our hearts.

As Tanya (aka Tee) will often say… from Spearfish, South Dakota to the MFA Boston - all places need beautiful items that are an upgrade from tourist trap blah.

From our vintage postcard to our 6 ½ foot double layer blanket, we make everything in Fall River Massachusetts, the very birthplace of American textile manufacturing.

FAQs • I have my own design, can you make gifts with my design? o YES, custom is all we do! Place your order with art pending - email us your design

• Our museum has critical guidelines for color match, how do you handle this? o We have been reproducing fine art for over a decade and have a custom prototype program that handles this process*

• Do you offer exclusive for my town? o We do better when you do better so we protect our retailers from over saturation if your account is active

• I LOVE this idea but not sure where to start?!

I like all of the maps which are the best sellers? o This is a popular question, the answer depends on your location but here is the skinny after working with Rockstar Retailers: ~ Coastal – Ocean based – Classic Nautical Chart or our Wave in sea glass tones ~ Rivers/Lakes/Mountains/Inland Towns – Vintage/Topo maps and our Hometown map styles do best. ~ Anywhere - whether your shop is in a national park, Museum or favorite waterfront destination our job is to create a design to celebrate it.

• I am a museum store and I have theme exhibits and collection artwork, where should I start? o Our mins are very low for custom. Collections gifts can be sold year round. Starting with a favorite artwork from your collection is a popular way to get started. We are often called miracle workers as we can work fast if you have an exhibit coming up, just keep in touch.

• Is there a set up fee? o Yes. We offer set up fees that start @ $49 for your local custom map in 2 styles. For custom artwork/museum collections the fees are $49 per image or we can quote for multiple artworks.

IF color is critical, we suggest our custom prototype option, quote required. o No. We have over 15k custom map designs in our archives.

IF we have your town already designed, there is no set up fee. o IF I pay a set up do I pay it for each product I order?

Our set up fee is a one time fee for all products with one exception - screen printing. *custom prototype program can be quoted based on artwork, starts $100
