General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) Completion of the IGETC permits a student to transfer from a California Community College to a CSU or UC campus without the need, after transfer, to take additional lower division to satisfy campus general education requirements. All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better (Grades of “C-“will not fulfill this requirement). Courses that are listed in more than one area may only be used to satisfy the requirements in a single area except in Area 5. NOTE: IGETC is NOT appropriate for certain majors and/or campuses. Consult a counselor BEFORE choosing IGETC to fulfill General Education/Breadth requirements to make sure that it is an appropriate choice.
