Bem-vindos ao VII Festival ART&TUR! Em nome da APTUR – Associação Portuguesa de Turismologia, dou as boas vindas a todos os participantes na sétima edição do Festival Internacional de Filmes de Turismo – ART&TUR, que se realiza pela primeira vez na cidade do Porto. As seis edições anteriores do Festival ART&TUR, ocorridas na cidade de Barcelos, projetaram a identidade da marca ART&TUR, através da sua associação profunda e permanente a um dos símbolos mais relevantes do artesanato e do património endógeno português – o Galo de Barcelos. Os pitorescos e sui generis “Galos criativos de Barcelos” continuarão a sair dos fornos dos artesãos barcelenses, para servirem de galardão que distinguem e homenageiam os melhores talentos neste importante certame internacional dedicado ao cinema turístico. A migração do Festival ART&TUR para a cidade do Porto pretende conferir-lhe uma merecida centralidade, quer em termos de visibilidade nacional e internacional, quer em termos de prestígio e a atratividade. A par desta mudança de cidade-sede, a sétima edição do Festival ART&TUR apresenta muitas outras novidades, designadamente em termos de novas parcerias: • Novos parceiros estratégicos nacionais – cabe realçar e agradecer o contributo das seguintes entidades nacionais que se associaram ao Festival ART&TUR pela primeira vez: empresa Douro Azul, Confederação do Turismo Português, AHRESP e APECATE e o CEPESE (Centro de Estudos da População, Economia e Sociedade ). • Novos parceiros estratégicos internacionais – realce para a Centro Universitário UNIVATES, Observatório de Marcas, TERMALIA (Feria Internacional Turismo de Salud y Bienestar), AITB (Asociación Iberoamericana de Termalismo y Bienestar) e Tribuna Termal. Orgulhamo-nos também pelo facto de muitos dos parceiros que connosco colaboravam em edições anteriores continuam a prestar a sua preciosa colaboração. Destaco as seguintes entidades: Turismo do Porto e Norte, Direção Regional da Cultura do Norte, Governo do Paraguai, através da Embaixada do Paraguai e do instituto Paraguaio de Artesanto, Embaixada da África do Sul, GITUR (Grupo de Investigação em Turismo do IP Leiria), ISMAI, a ULP e a APETEX. Além disso, mantendo a sua dinâmica de permanente inovação, esta sétima edição do Festival ART&TUR apresenta duas novidades essenciais: • Criação de uma Competição Nacional autónoma, com atribuição de prémios aos melhores filmes turísticos portugueses em separado, sem prejuízo dos filmes portugueses também integrarem a Competição Internacional. • Especialização do Júri Internacional, através da organização de polos de decisão no Brasil e no Extremo Oriente. Assim, além do habitual e prestigiado Júri Internacional do festival, foi criado um Júri de Pré-Seleção (professores e alunos do MBA de Branding & Business do centro Universitário UNIVATES, de Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, sob a orientação da professora Elizete Kreutz), e um Júri Asiático (especialistas em Marketing Turístico, professores em Universidades de Taiwan, da China, da Coreia do Sul e do Japão) que decidiu o Melhor Filme Asiático.
Realce-se ainda que a colaboração com a UNIVATES levou à criação do Prémio para o Melhor Filme de Branding de Destinos, cujo troféu será o Quero-Quero, uma ave típica do Rio Grande do Sul. Esta modalidade de parceria havia sido iniciada com o Governo do Paraguai, através da criação do Prémio de Melhor Filme Ibero-Americano, cujo troféu é a Galinha Picha’i de Ita, permitindo deste modo, o Festival ART&TUR, agora sediado no Porto, se internacionalize ainda mais. Graças a todas estas iniciativas de cooperação, estamos a consolidar um evento que pretende contribuir para a promoção internacional de Portugal, através de modalidades criativas de apoio ao audiovisual turístico, e da sua integração na academia. É por isso, que saudamos o facto de o CEPESE se ter associado ao Festival ART&TUR através da realização conjunta da II Conferência Internacional - PORTO COMO DESTINO TURÍSTICO: Turismo e Economia Urbana. Uma vez mais, em nome da APTUR, dou as boas-vindas a todos os participantes deste importante e criativo evento e agradeço a todos os parceiros que depositam em nós a sua confiança!

Comité de seleção A maioria dos filmes submetidos a concurso no Festival ART&TUR fazem parte de estratégias de Branding de destinos turísticos. Por isso, nada melhor do que confiar a responsabilidade da pré-seleção dos filmes deste festival a jovens especialistas em Branding. A responsabilidade pela pré-avaliação dos filmes Festival ART&TUR 2014 foi confiada aos alunos do MBA Internacional de Branding & Business do Centro Universitário Univates, Brasil, sob orientação da professora Elizete de Azevedo Kreutz.
