GENERAL
1.ReadtheOperatorsmanualcompletelyand thoroughlybeforeusingthetractororloader. Lackofoperatingknowledgecanleadto seriousaccidents.
2.Operatethetractoronlyfromtheoperatorís seat.
3.Replacedamaged,missingorillegiblesafety decals.SeetheìSafetyDecalîsectioninthis manualforproperlocationofallsafetydecals.
THETRACTOR
1.Useapprovedrolloverprotectionandseatbelt forsafeoperation.Overturningatractorwithout anapprovedrollbarcouldresultinserious injuryordeath.Ifthetractorisnotequipped withtheproperrolloverprotection,seeyour tractordealertoobtaintheproperparts.Ifthe tractorisequippedwithacab,makecertainthe cabisapprovedforrolloverprotection.
2.EquipthetractorwithaFOPS(FallingObject ProtectiveStructure)andseatbeltbefore installingoroperatingaloader.
3.Alwaysusetheseatbeltontractorsequipped witharollbarorcab.Donotuseaseatbeltif operatingthetractorwithoutarollbarorcab.
4.Addtherecommendedwheelballastand/or rearweightasrecommendedintheOwners manualtoprovideadequatestabilitywhen usingaloader.
5.Positionthewheelstothetractormanufactureríswidestrecommendedsettingsto increasestability.
6.Moveandturnthetractoratlowspeeds.
7.Beforestartingtheengine,besureall operatingcontrolsareintheneutralorpark position.Thiswilleliminateaccidental movementofthemachineorstartupof powerdrivenequipment.
8.Beforeleavingthetractor,stoptheengine,put allcontrolsinneutral,engagetheparkbrake andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
9.Whentransportingtheloader,engagethe loadercontrolneutrallocktoprevent accidentalcyclingoftheloader.
THELOADER
1.Improperuseofaloadercancauseserious injuryordeath.
2.NEVERusetheloadertoliftorcarryanyone withthebucket,frameorattachment.Serious injuryordeathcouldresultfromfallingoffthe tractororloaderduringtransportoroperation.
3.NEVERallowanyonetogetundertheloader bucketorreachthroughtheliftarmswhen thebucketisintheraisedposition.
4.Donotwalkorworkunderaraisedloader, bucketorattachmentunlessitissecurely blockedorheldinposition.Accidental movementofacontrolleveroraleakinthe hydraulicsystemcouldcausethemainframe todrop,orattachmenttodumpcausing severeinjuryordeath.
5.Makesurealldismountedloadersonpark standsareonahardlevelsurfacewithall safetydevicesengagedtopreventtheparked loaderfromfallingandbeingdamagedor injuringsomeone.
6.Donotrepair,removeorreplaceanypartsof theloaderwhileinthedismounted,parked position.
7.Avoidoverheadwiresandobstacleswhen theloaderisraised.Contactingoverhead electricallinescancausesevereelectrical burnsordeathfromelectrocution.Make certainsufficientclearanceisavailable beforeraisingtheloader.
OPERATINGTHELOADER
1.Theequipmentownerisresponsibletomake certainthatalloperatorsreadthismanual thoroughlyandunderstandthesafetyprecautionsandproperoperatingprocedures. Becertainalloperatorsarequalifiedbefore allowingoperation.
2.Alwayscheckwithproperauthoritiesfor undergroundutilitiesbeforedigging.
3.Exercisecautionwhenoperatingtheloader witharaisedbucketorattachment.
4.Avoidloosefill,rocksandholes.Theseare dangerousconditionsforloaderoperationor transport.
5.Usecautionwhenoperatingonsteepgrades. Alwayscarrythebucketorattachmentinthe lowestpossiblepositiontomaintainmaximumstability.Selectthepropergear BEFOREattemptingtotravelonasteep grade.Avoidshiftingongradesandnever ìfreewheelî.
6.Besuretoallowforthelengthoftheloader whenmakingturnsorworkinginconfined areas.
7.Stoptheloaderarmsgraduallywhenraising orloweringtheloader.
8.Carrythebucketorattachmentaslowas possibletoincreasevisibilityduringtransport.
9.Whenparkedorduringservicingofthe loader,lowerthebuckettotheground,stop theengine,settheparkbrakeandremovethe keyfromthekeyswitch.Specialcareshould
betakentoparkorstoreattachmentswith sharppointsoredgesinasafemanner.
10.Donotoperateloadercontrolsunless properlyseatedintheoperatorísseat.
11.NEVERattempttohandlelarge,heavy objectssuchaslargeroundorrectangle bales,logsoroildrumsunlessthespecific specialattachmentsareused.Handlingsuch objectsisnotrecommendedwithoutspecial equipment.
12.Handlinglargeheavyobjectscanbe dangerousduetothefollowing:
• dangerofoverturningthetractor
• dangerofupendingthetractor
• dangeroftheobjectrollingorsliding downtheloaderarmsontotheoperator
13.Ifthetypeofworkinprecaution#12mustbe performedadheretothefollowing:
• alwaysusetheproperattachment
• neverlifttheloadhigherthannecessary toclearthegroundwhilemoving
• ballasttherearofthetractortocompensatefortheweightoftheload
• neverliftlargeorheavyobjectswith equipmentthatdoesnothavean anti-rollbackdevice
• moveslowlyandcarefully,avoiding roughoruneventerrain
14.Loaderliftcapacityandbreak-awaycapacity diminishastheloaderheightisincreased. Usecarenottograspmorematerialthanthe loaderisdesignedtohandle.
MAINTENANCE
1.Alwaysweareyeprotectionwhenservicing orrepairingtheloader.
2.Donotmodify,alterorpermitanyoneelseto modifyoraltertheloaderoranyofitís componentsorfunctionswithoutfirst consultingaNewHollanddealer.Contact yourdealerwithquestionsabouttheloader.
3.Escapinghydraulicfluidordieselfuelunder pressurecanpenetratetheskincausing seriousinjury.Topreventseriouspersonal injury:
• DONOTuseyourhandtocheckfor suspectedleaksunderpressure
• Useapieceofcardboardorheavypaper tosearchforleaks
• Stoptheengineandrelievethepressure inthesystembeforeconnectingor disconnectinghydraulicordiesellines andfittings
• Tightenalllinesandfittingsbefore startingtheengineandpressurizingthe system
• Ifanyfluidisinjected intotheskin,obtain medicalattentionIMMEDIATELYtoavoid theonsetofGangrene
4.DONOTtamperwithorchangetherelief valvesettings.Thereliefvalveispresetatthe manufacturerforoptimumperformanceand safety.Changingthesettingsmaycause overloadingofthetractorhydraulicsystem resultinginequipmentfailureand/orserious operatorinjury.
5.Whenservicingorreplacingthepinsinthe cylinderends,bucket,etc.,alwaysusea brassdrift.Failuretodosocouldresultin equipmentdamageand/orpersonalinjury duetoflyingmetalfragments.

Thefollowingarerecommendationswhichmaybeof assistance:
• Becomeacquaintedwithandensurethatyou understandtherelativelegislationapplicableto yourcountry.
• Wherenolegislationexists,obtaininformation fromsuppliersofoils,filters,batteries,fuels, antifreeze,cleaningagents,etc.,withregardto theireffectonmanandnatureandhowtosafely store,useanddisposeofthesesubstances. Agriculturalconsultantswill,inmanycases,be abletohelpyouaswell.
HELPFULHINTS
1.Avoidfillingtanksusingcansorinappropriate pressurizedfueldeliverysystemswhichmay causeconsiderablespillage.
2.Ingeneral,avoidskincontactwithallfuels,oils, acids,solvents,etc.Mostofthemcontain substanceswhichmaybeharmfultoyourhealth.
3.Modernoilscontainadditives.Donotburn contaminatedfuelsandorwasteoilsinordinary heatingsystems.
4.Avoidspillagewhendrainingoffusedengine coolantmixtures,engine,gearboxandhydraulic oils,brakefluids,etc.Donotmixdrainedbrake fluidsorfuelswithlubricants.Storethemsafely untiltheycanbedisposedofinaproperwayto complywithlocallegislationandavailable resources.
5.Moderncoolantmixtures,i.e.antifreezeand otheradditives,shouldbereplacedeverytwo years.Theyshouldnotbeallowedtogetintothe soilbutshouldbecollectedanddisposedof safely.
6.Donotopentheair-conditioningsystemyourself. Itcontainsgaseswhichshouldnotbereleased intotheatmosphere.Yourdealerorair conditioningspecialisthasaspecialextractorfor thispurposeandwillhavetorechargethesystem properly.
7.Repairanyleaksordefectsintheenginecooling orhydraulicsystemimmediately.
8.Donotincreasethepressureinapressurized circuitasthismayleadtoacomponentfailure.
9.Protecthosesduringweldingaspenetrating weldsplattermayburnaholeorweakenthem, allowingthelossofoils,coolant,etc.
