Sur le chem i n Depuis le col des mouilles (commune de Ste Agnès), prendre la piste à droite (GR 549B) en suivant les indications qui mènent au refuge. Le sentier se déroule en forêt. Des lacets réguliers vous mèneront jusqu’aux alpages vers 1800m. Suivez toujours le sentier jusqu’aux vires. Un passage facile mais un peu vertigineux. Vous verrez bientôt le refuge sur son belvédère. Accès au refuge également possible : - Depuis le Chenevrey, du parking de la Gorge, suivez le sentier en forêt jusqu’à passer deux passerelles. Vous arrivez au Pleynet. Montez dans l’éboulis jusqu’à rejoindre le GR 549A, l’itinéraire depuis le pré Long. Rejoignez le refuge. - Par le Col de Pré Long (commune de St Mury Monteymond), suivre le sentier en forêt qui rejoint le parking de la Souille (1358m). Suivre ensuite le GR 549A qui démarre sur une piste. Le sentier en traversée va sortir de la forêt puis rejoindre une passerelle sous les cascades qui descendent du lac blanc. A droite se trouve la Habert
du Mousset. Prenez à gauche et gravissez le dernier raidillon avant d’atteindre le refuge. Le mot de la gard i enn e Du haut de son belvédère, le refuge Jean Collet est un petit coin tranquille et douillet au beau milieu de la nature. La vue est plongeante, époustouflante. Un sentier agréable vous y mènera en 2 heures. Les randonnées autour du refuge, plus ou moins sportives, vous mèneront aux lacs et cols de Belledonne. Grimpeurs, le grand Pic vous attend.

Ge tt i ng t here From the Col des Mouilles (SainteAgnès town), take the right-hand trail (GR 549B) and follow the signs leading to the refuge. The trail runs through the forest, and the zigzags will take you up to 1800 m high pastures. Keep following the trail to the ledges. This passage is easy but a little dizzy. You can then enjoy the sight of the Dent de Crolles and Grenoble. Other possible routes to the refuge: - F rom Chenevrey, from the car park of La Gorge, follow the forest path until you pass two bridges. You arrive at Le Pleynet. Climb up the stony path to reach the path GR 549A, the route from the Pré Long. Join the refuge. - By the Col de Pré Long (St Mury Monteymond town), follow the path in the forest that reaches the car park of la Souille (1358 m). Then follow the path GR 549A, which starts on a track. The trail will cross out of the forest and then join a bridge under waterfalls that descend from the Lac Blanc. The Habert du Mousset is on the right. Turn left and climb the last steep path before reaching the hut.

A wor d f rom t he hut k eeper From its viewing point, the refuge Jean Collet is a small quiet and cosy place in the middle of nature. The view is plunging, breathtaking. A pleasant trail will take you there in 2 hours. Walks around the refuge, more or less sportive, will take you to lakes and mountain passes of Belledonne. Climbers, the Grand Pic awaits you.
