Planetarium of Montreal Montreal,Quebec(2009) The Montreal Planetarium held an architectural competition for a new building. The site chosen was the iconic Olympic park, site of the 1976 summer Olympics. The main idea was to emulate the behavior of the celestial bodies which, by their history, a have tendency to collide with each other. These impacts generate new entities that in the project we name as courtyards and they are ones that define the space in the building. The program is distributed in different spheres and the courtyards communicate them at different levels and with the site itself. The project was designed by Hal Ingberg Architect. I assisted him with the preliminary design, analysis, functional planning and final presentation. The project is presently on exhibition at the existing Montreal Planetarium
