INSPIRATION SKETCHBOOK

My name is Curtis, and I'm dyslexic.

I can’t read or write.

At school they made me feel like I would never be successful.

They made me feel like I had something wrong with me.

Then I tried drawing, and discovered I was quite good at it.

And I’m getting better the more I practice.

Having dyslexia doesn’t mean you are stupid it means you see, learn and approach things in a different way.

For me personally, I’ve found that being dyslexic helps my creativity.

This sketchbook is for anyone who thinks, “I can’t achieve anything. I’m a failure.”

I want to invite you to have a go at drawing.

Just give it a try.

You might be surprised.

Since discovering my love of art I am more confident, and I feel like maybe I can achieve great things.

All because I tried something new.

It's good to open your mind and express yourself in a different way. . .

Try colouring in the picture on the next page.

It's alright if you aren't amazing at something at first. . . practice makes perfect.

Everybody has the potential to be great at something, and I encourage you to find your gift. . . whether it's art or something else.
