“The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” ~ Psalm 119:130 (NIV) ~ A father was approached by his small son, who told him proudly, “I know what the Bible means!” His father smiled and replied, “What do you mean, you ‘know’ what the Bible means?” The son replied, “I do know!” “Okay,” said his father. “So, Son, what does the Bible mean?” “That’s easy, Daddy. It stands for… ‘BASIC INFORMATION BEFORE LEAVING EARTH’ ” That’s a pretty wise kid! Unfortunately, there are too many kids — and adults — who don’t know that truth about the Bible. But I am still optimistic about the future! This final week of January finds us making final preparations for two exciting things that will begin next week, the first week of February — and no, my birthday is not one of them. We are relaunching our Good News Clubs for our public schools here in the Humboldt Unified School District. The Good News Clubs have been shut down since last March. But now with Zoom, First Southern will be able to cover all of the Elementary Schools in the district from our own KID CITY STUDIO. What a great chance to reach boys and girls right in their own homes with the Gospel of Christ. Please pray for this exciting ministry that will launch at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd.
