Foreword

Dear reader,

Here it is, the last FIRM of this academic year. At this moment, our board is not active anymore and our successors are in charge. For this reason, to write this foreword can be seen as the end of my board year. That sounds very dramatic and in fact it is (a little).

I would like to highlight the positive aspects and therefore I will give you a short throwback of this exciting year. This year, we held our monthly drinks at a new place. We used the previous place for 12 years. I think this is a very positive change. A fact that played a role in this was that we could enjoy the self-made speciality beers of the place. The recruitment diner, which is also new, was very successful. We enjoyed the excellent food and wine with the representatives of several companies in a restaurant in Maastricht. Do you want anything more? Besides this, there were a lot of FIRST activities this year. I will keep it short to prevent wasting your precious time. The reason why the year and the activities were great is because of the attendance and efforts of our members. On behalf of the board Savidis, I would like to thank you for this and remind you that your attendance gives FIRST its identity: a very active and venturous association.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank my fellow board members for this year. Romy, Rob and Maike; this was a great year for us and for FIRST.

Sanne, Rachelle, Niek and Debbie; we have all confidence that you will lead FIRST in a good direction. In the case you need any further advice, we are ready to help you.

I have reached the end of my last foreword. I would like to thank you again for this academic year. It was very nice to see and speak with you during the activities of FIRST. I hope to continue with this and to meet you during the 6th lustrum year of FIRST Maastricht.
