ISF, TMC workers’ violent clash in West Bengal

A violent clash broke out between workers of the Indian Secular Front and the TMC in front of the office of the block development officer at Bhangar in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district on Tuesday morning, leading to several vehicles being vandalised, explosives being hurled and stones being pelted at the police. Both parties blamed each other and said several of their members had been injured.

The violence took place as ISF candidates sought to file their nomination papers for the July 8 panchayat elections.
