Prabanjan and Bora Chakravarthi joint top scorers

New Delhi rabanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh have emerged as the top scorers in this year’s NEETUG, attaining a remarkable 99.99 percentile, as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday. Out of the total 20.38 lakh candidates, 11.45 lakh have successfully qualified for the exam.

Uttar Pradesh claims the highest number of qualifying candidates with 1.39 lakh, followed by Maharashtra with 1.31 lakh and Rajasthan with over 1 lakh qualifiers.

The NTA conducted the National Eligibility-cumEntrance Test (UG) across 4,097 centers in

499 cities nationwide, including 14 cities outside India, on May 7.

NTA has announced the names of all India toppers, marks scored by them and category-wise cut-off marks along with NEET results.

The Medical entrance exam was held on May 7, 2023, except in Manipur.

For 8,753 candidates of Manipur, the exam on June 6 in 11 cities, including the state capital Imphal.

Last year, three candidates had shared the top rank.

One team each of NDRF and SDRF deployed, and one team of NDRF is to be deployed at Okha port. Around 250 people shifted to temporary shelter homes. Tourists and local population are not allowed to visit Gomti Ghat, Shivrajpur beach, Bet Dwarka and other places along the coast.

Four dead, three injured after oil tanker explodes on Pune-Mumbai Expressway

Mumbai: At least four people have died and three people have been injured after a petrol tanker caught fire following an accident on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway on Tuesday at around 12 pm.The accident took place on the expressway stretch between Lonavala and Khandala, news agency PTI reported quoting an official.

19 injured in accident at Tata Steel’s Dhenkanal plant, taken to Cuttack

Dhenkanal: At least 19 persons were injured in an accident at the Tata Steel plant at Meramandali in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Tuesday. The accident occurred at the blast furnace power plant at around 1 p.m. during inspection. The 19 injured were immediately shifted to the occupational health centre in the plant and then to Cuttack for further treatment.
