Third Tigar safari for Bundi’s RVTR soon

Jaipur he State is going to have a third tiger safari at Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve (RVTR). Forest Minister Hemaram Choudhary will inaugurate it on June 18 or 19.

So far half a dozen tourist vehicles have been registered for the safari.

TWO MORE TIGRESSES TO BE SHIFTED TO RAMGARH VISHDHARI TIGER RESERVE

Two more tigresses will be translocated in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve. The permission for the relocation has been received from the National Tiger Conservation Authority. The permission has been granted for shifting of 2 tigresses from Ranthambore. One tigress will be translocated at the end of this month or in the first week of July. After 1 month of translocation, the second tigress will be translocated. Tigresses will be shifted from the non-tourism area of Ranthambore, said an official.

3 IAS officers from state empanelled in the Centre

Three young IAS of Rajasthan have been empanelled in the Centre for the position of Joint Secretary. These IAS officers are Vishnucharan Malik, Anandi and Tina Soni. All of them are of 2007 batch, however, 2006 batch IAS Gaurav Goyal has not been empanelled for the post. IPS KB Vandana has been empanelled in for appointment to the post of IG.

Police seize ganja worth `1.83 cr; heroine worth `1 cr in two cases

Crime Branch has arrested five drug smugglers and seized ganga (cannabis) worth Rs 1.83 crore from their possession in Bhilwara on Sunday night. The accused had smuggled ganja in two luxury cars from Odisha. ADG (Crime) Dinesh MN said that following a tip off, a team of Crime Branch intercepted the accused and caught them with high quality ganga.

Vehicles from which 182 kg ganja was seized in Bhilwara.

Shiv Lal, Lokesh Jat, Rajendra Jat and Prem Chand Acharya. Both the cars had a total of 182 kilograms of cannabis. The ganja was to be supplied to different places from Bhilwara.

Meanwhile, in Kota, the police officials ar- rested two drug smugglers and recovered 938 grams of heroin estimated to be worth Rs 1 crore from them.

The accused were identified as Pushpendra Singh and Daya Kishan Sharma. They were smuggling heroin in a car which was stopped under Ramganjmandi.

During checking, the police team recovered heroin, SP Kota Rural Kavendra Singh Sagar said. The accused were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
