Kota: 17-year-old JEE aspirant dies by suicide

A 17-year-old JEE aspirant allegedly hanged himself in his hostel room, this is the 11th case of suspected suicide this year by students taking classes at the Kota coaching hub.

The body of Bhargav Keshav, a resident of Nandurbar in Maharashtra, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Kota. The boy allegedly hanged himself to death when his parents, who had reached there to meet him, stepped out to arrange breakfast, Jawahar Nagar Circle Officer DSP Amar Singh said.

When the couple returned, they found the door bolted from inside and informed the caretaker who peeped through the window and found Keshav’s body hanging from the ceiling.

FEMALE AGRI SUPERVISOR ‘KILLS’ HERSELF

A 29-year-old woman, identified as Meera Kumari Meghwal, a resident of Hanumangarh district, allegedly died by hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence in Kota, police said on Monday. She was posted as an agriculture supervisor at Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Kheda Rasulpura here. On Sunday evening, Meghwal did not come out of her government quarter. When her neighbours looked inside her quarter, they saw her hanging from the ceiling fan, Kaithun SHO Mahendra Maru said. The reason is not yet known.

KOTA: WOMAN FALLS FROM 12TH FLOOR, DIES

A 19-year-old domestic help died after falling from the 12th floor of a residential society here on Monday, police said. The woman was identified as Muskan, a resident of Ramchandrapura Chawani in Kota. She was working at a house in under Kunhari police station limits for four months. The woman fell inside from a window of a house located on the 12th floor and died on the spot. Her Class 12 marksheet was found near her body.
