The Indian Air Force is taking steps to be everready and future-ready keeping in view the overall security scenario including the challenges of fighting a high technology war in a network-centric future battle space, President Droupadi Murmu said on Saturday.

Addressing the Combined Graduation parade at Air Force Academy near here, the President said the ability to absorb technology at a rapid pace will be essential for defence preparedness at land, sea and air.

Nia Probes Attacks By Khalistanis Abroad

The National Investigation Agency has taken over the investigation into a series of attacks carried out by Khalistani elements in Indian missions in the US and Canada, Delhi Police sources told IANS on Saturday. The Delhi Police Special Cell had previously registered two FIRs under the UAPA regarding the attacks that took place in March in San Francisco and Toronto in March.

Earlier today, she reviewed the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of the 211th Course at Air Force Academy (AFA) in Dundigal near Hyderabad. During her speech, Murmu recalled the experience of having a sortie in Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Tejpur Air Force station in Assam in April.

Investments in securities worth Rs 30.60 crore have been seized in connection with an alleged foreign exchange violation case against Vikram Swarup and Gaurav Swarup whose name figured in global financial data leaks called ‘Pandora Papers’, the ED said on Saturday.

The Pandora leaks stated the Indian businessmen brothers were “beneficial owners” in a company, Epsilon Enterprises Ltd, incorporated in British Virgin Islands, the agency said in a statement. The ‘Pandora Papers’ global leaks had surfaced in 2021.
