About CAA The Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA) is a not-for-profit national charity and operates as the peak body for the Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea ambulance sectors. The CAA was formed in 1962 to provide ambulance service leaders with a networking opportunity to discuss issues, learnings and achievements current to the pre-hospital industry. Today, the Board consists of CEOs from each member service and member services collective knowledge and expertise provide a sound foundation to explore opportunities for improvement and innovation and to advocate on the sector’s behalf in key areas.

Ambulance service representatives on collaborative groups contribute to the CAA’s focus on evidence-based initiatives and projects designed to keep ambulance services at the forefront of paramedicine and patient care.

CAA Congress 14-16 August 2024, Melbourne

CAA Congress is recognised as Australasia’s premiere event for the ambulance sector. Each year, this event brings together top clinical and educational leaders, as well as senior management from within the field. This multi-faceted three-day event features sought-after speakers, networking events and of course, a bustling Expo. The CAA Board meets the day before Congress with opportunities for Platinum and Gold sponsors to present at their meeting.

CAA Congress provides sponsors and partners with a unique opportunity to meet key decision-makers and influencers from the ambulance health, and the emergency management sectors.

Women in Leadership Symposium 21 November 2024, Sydney

The Women in Leadership Symposium hosted as a one-day event, provides attendees with practical skills, tools, perspectives and takeaway tips to help encourage women aspiring into leadership roles, to take the next step in their career.

At the conclusion of the Symposium, we will also announce the CAA 2024 Women in Leadership Scholarship recipient. CAA Awards for Excellence 15 August 2024, Melbourne

The CAA Awards for Excellence have been running for over 16 years to recognise the hard and innovative work of member services from Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The awards are designed to encourage innovation and to enable services to share their work and learn from each other. The awards are independently judged by a panel of industry-respected judges from across the globe, with the winners announced at a prestigious gala dinner event held during CAA Congress.

The CAA Awards for Excellence categories are: - Excellence in Technology - Excellence in Clinical Practice - Excellence in Staff Development - Excellence in Patient Care - Excellence in Leadership - Excellence in Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Award Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner, to be held in Melbourne on 15 August 2024 during Congress.

The CAA Webinar Series sparks inspiration while educating and features a range of expert-speakers discussing topical issues from across the ambulance sector globally. These one-hour long webinars are free to attend, and registered paramedics can claim CPD hours to contribute to their ongoing professional development.

Webinar sponsors receive acknowledgement in the lead up across a broad range of promotional materials, as well as during the Webinar. Being an important initiative of CAA, the Webinar Series is heavily promoted through our website, newsletters, and social media channels.

Presentation to CAA Groups 30 Minute Presentation - $3,000+GST each Representatives from all 11 of our member services sit on collaborate groups. These groups meet regularly and work on evidence-based initiatives and projects designed to keep ambulance services at the forefront of paramedicine. This opportunity would allow for a 30-minute presentation at one of our group meetings throughout 2024. There is also the opportunity to host a demonstration or site visit.

Please note this opportunity is subject to availability due to the limited number of meetings held per year.

Restart a Heart Day Bespoke Sponsorship Opportunities Available

Restart a Heart Day aims to raise awareness about cardiac arrest and help health professionals improve survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The campaign hopes to improve the 1 in 10 survival rate for patients in Australia and New Zealand who have experienced an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA).

Any partnership funds generated through Restart a Heart sponsorship will be used exclusively for the ongoing funding of this initiative including:

• Materials for use in ongoing promotional activity.

• A dedicated team member working on the campaign all year round, furthering reach beyond Restart a Heart Day on October 16.

As a bespoke partnership opportunity, the CAA can work with your organisation to tailor a package with your goals in mind.

Since 2017, the CAA has played the role of coordinating International Restart a Heart Day communications and assets across member services, partners, and community groups.

• The ability to undertake research and deliver advocacy to key influencers and stakeholders to improve the level of CPR training in the community.
