Quick Knockdown in Baldwin On the afternoon of April 14, 2022, the Baldwin Fire Department was called to a house fire on Jefferson Street. Firefighters were met with fire in a bedroom of a private dwelling with heavy clutter conditions. One handline was stretched and put into operation to quickly knock down the fire. Good Stop in Massapequa The Massapequa Fire Department was called to a house fire on Carlton Drive on the afternoon of April 24, 2022. Chief of Department Monjardo arrived to smoke showing from a 1-1/2 story home. Engine 6314 stretched one line to quickly knock down the fire, which was partially extinguished prior to fire department arrival. One firefighter suffered a minor injury and one resident was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The Amityville Fire Department was requested for a FAST.
