The Art of the Moldovan folk carpet has old and authentic traditions. You won’t see a traditional Moldovan house without carpets on the walls, on the beds, on the floor. The carpets were considered to be family relics that were sent from generation to generation, probably this way “surviving� till nowadays. The traditional decor is based on a certain rhythm and simplicity. A handmade carpet is more than just a decorative object, is a story, a symbol, a source of memories. The Moldovan folklore has a strong basis and embraces a system of popular confessions and customs. This cultural inheritance in all its manifestations represents a large area of national art of special value, which not only preceded its cultural forms but also continued to develop in the modern era conferring to the professional culture its ethnical originality.

Creating a carpet is a very complex work , with many levels that have to be passed. And very important in this process is creation of colors palette. This is the starting point because of the color palette depends what fiber will be used, what design will be tackled and who will be the final buyer. Design is the mirroring of the mood, ideas and soul of the designers , this is why all our carpets have their own story. Creation of carpets design is a painstakingly work. Each design is analyzed many times in order to create a masterpiece which in turn will warm the souls and hearts of our customers.

After designs are ready we start to prepare all machine for weaving. First step in this process is charging machines with high quality yarn. Creating of carpets is checked by our team step by step in order to produce carpets of high quality. After weaving is finished all carpets are subject to final processing. After producing each and every carpet is checked by our quality control, this step is a guarantee that our customers will get the best products.
Wool Eco Carpets Moldabela is using natural yarn from Eco Wool. Our yarn is created using Wool from New Zealand and British Wool that are all known as being of a high quality. Also we are using Carded Eco Wool that helps us to design wool carpets with different texture.
