Finica Food Specialties Limited, is an importer and distributor of specialty and gourmet items from around the world. Since 1968 Finica Food Specialties has been importing and distributing specialty and gourmet items from around world directly to your grocery cart.

The United States-based Atalanta Corporation purchased Finica in July 1995. For more than 50 years, Atalanta has been the driving force in the food importing and international trading business. Today, Finica Foods Specialties Limited operates as a sister company of Atalanta. Finica Foods continues in this tradition by capitalizing on the experiance and opportunity to work with family owned manufacturers and support local farmers. Our customer base includes retail supermarket chains, independent boutiques, and food service chain and independents. Some of the brands we represent are very popular amongst local grocery stores and delicatessens. Our ever expanding selection of specialty goods is geared to bring something for everyones palette, and this is just the beginning!

Lenberg Farms is a 100-acre goat and sheep dairy farm located near Lindsay, Ontario. Owned and operated by Bruce and Sharon Vandenberg, the milk used in cheese production comes from Alpine, Saanen, and Toggenburg dairy goats and British milking sheep.

Asiago derives its name from a small town in northern Italy. In Italy, Asiago usually means fresco (fresh), which has a mild flavour and soft texture. In Wisconsin, cheesemakers age Asiago to develop sharper flavours. It resembles a cross between sharp white Cheddar and Parmesan. Aged Asiago is more crumbly. Traditionally, the color of the wax on Asiago indicates flavour: clear or white suggests mild; brown suggests medium; and black suggests aged. Excellent on any Italian dish, such as pizza or pasta. After generations of making cheese it is a pleasure to be able to share with you, and your family, the traditions of Holland’s most delicious and versatile cheese: Beemster. Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar was developed from the mining traditions of South Wales. As a boy, the founder of the brand watched his grandfather’s tough existence as a miner and noticed the camaraderie and strength of the community in which they lived.

Cheese had always been a staple part of the diet of miners, their wives appreciated the nutritious nature of cheese and the fact that it was simple to pack, with no waste. In antiquity this land was cultivated by the Etruscans. Located in Spoleto in the heart of Umbria, Melchiorri has been in the market now for more than 40 years. Harsh climatic conditions here are not good for large scale production but the yield is of high quality. The olives are hand harvested between October and December and milled the same day.
