olling hills. Expansive views. Clear, blue lakes. Beautiful homes and neighborhoods. These are just a few of the features that draw people to Central Texas, and no place exemplifies them better than West Austin. Some visitors who encounter this piece of paradise are reminded of the landscapes of California, while others think of Italy or Spain. Wineries, olive gardens and villa-style homes dot the area, helping to complete the comparisons. Within and around these locations are homes to fill any wish list. Looking for Hill Country seclusion and a room with a view? Or do you prefer being near the heart of the city? Looking for a minimalist modern? If you are raising a family (or planning to), West Austin offers plenty of reasons to make your home here. Lakes abound, offering fun and recreation for months in the warm Central Texas weather. Parks like West Lake Beach offer lake access in a relaxed setting. Spend the day at gorgeous, naturally formed Hamilton Pool. Or maybe Krause Springs is more your style. Visit the Austin Zoo, or take one of many hiking trails and spot the wildlife all around. Visit West

Cave Preserve, adjacent to the beautiful Pedernales River, and hike to a natural cave. Don’t miss the Bull Creek Greenbelt or Turkey Creek trails, offering great wilderness adventures. Those into adrenaline can be an action hero for a day at Dripping Spring’s Stunt Ranch, where a team of real professional stunt and special effects coordinators will take you through an action-packed day of explosions and movie-style stunts. Another fantastic destination is the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, devoted to preserving and protecting flowers and plants native to Central Texas. The 279 acre center in Southwest Austin provides trails, ponds, gardens, an education center for young children, and of course, acres of wildflowers and plants. The center sponsors many special events and exhibits throughout the year. Even the furthest neighborhoods from downtown are still relatively close to all of the sights, amenities and luxuries that Austin has to offer. Explore West Austin and see the best that the Hill Country has to offer – with homes that match the style and beauty of the stunning landscape surrounding them.
