They Left a Legacy…
A beloved Tudor Oaks couple recently left a legacy gift to Tudor Oaks that began with a simple document they signed years ago...
Their generosity is blessing our community today, and it carries forward their influence and goodwill.
They did so by signing a one or two-page document designating a portion of Resident Deposit (entrance fee) to Tudor Oaks.
No attorney was involved, there were no Court documents to sign, and they did need to amend their Last Will & Testament—just a simple signed declaration they wanted a portion of their future refund to go to Tudor Oaks.
If you would like more information about this simple way to leave a portion of your legacy to the Tudor Oaks Community you love, please see or call:

THE CAVEMEN
CAVEMEN MOVING ON
For several years we Cavemen have made some pretty good wine in the Man Cave and shared our production with other residents. Now our bodies are telling us that it is time to do something else less strenuous than making and bottling wine. We currently have two batches ready to bottle in a few months plus enough fruit to make three more batches so we should be finished making wine by the middle of 2025. We have all the equipment necessary for wine production if someone else wants to use it to continue making wine. If necessary, I can provide some training during the production time remaining. Just let me know.

Exploring Exoplanets with the James Webb Space Telescope
Dr. Jean Creighton FINAL Presentation! Monday,
Bio of Presenter, Dr. Jean Creighton
The world is buzzing about the James Webb Space Telescope, the largest and most powerful space telescope ever built that will serve as the premier deep space observatory for the next decade. Learn about our ever-expanding view of the universe and the search for new and exciting worlds beyond our solar system.
Dr. Jean Creighton has always been inspired by how the cosmos works. She was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in Athens, Greece where her mother claims she showed a great interest in how stars form from the age of five. She studied physics at the University of Athens and went on to earn a Master’s degree from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Waterloo. She began teaching astronomy at UW-Milwaukee in 1999 and in 2007, she took over as director of UWM's Manfred Olson Planetarium.
In 2014, Creighton was selected by NASA to be an Airborne Astronomy Ambassador and spent 20 hours in the stratosphere on SOFIA, the largest moving observatory in the world. She's very proud to have shared the cosmos with over 150,000 members of the community.
Please welcome Shelly Smith as our new Director of Nursing for the Health Center. Shelly comes to us from Kenosha and has spent the last 25 years as a RN. She has worked in community care, hospice, long term care…you name it – she’s done it! Her last employment was at the Veteran’s Hospital in Union Grove. As for her “main squeeze” Shelly has a dog named Fizzlekins, or better known as Izzy. Izzy is a 14-year-old Pug who still has spunk left! If you are a Pug lover, I am sure Shelly would love to show you a picture! Shelly also loves to draw, paint and make her own greeting cards especially at Christmastime! She has quite the collection! Please welcome her with a smile and a warm welcome!

Inspirational Moment
There’s an old hymn that I’ve grown quite fond of in the last couple of years. The title is “You Don’t Love God If You Don’t Love Your Neighbor”, written by . If you’ve ever tuned in to the Daily Devotional on channel 957, you’ve heard it played before. Here are the lyrics of the first verse and chorus:
There are many people, who will say they're Christians And they live like Christians on the Sabbath day But come Monday morning, till the coming Sunday They will fight their neighbor all along the way
Chorus: Oh you don't love God
If you don't love your neighbor nIf you gossip about him, if you never have mercy If he gets into trouble, and you don't try to help him Then you don't love your neighbor And you don't love God
The lyrics of this song embody 1 John 4:8, “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love". In this verse, the Apostle John emphasizes that love is a central part of God's identity and is essential to Christian living.” And, while this is a biblical principle, I think it applies to anyone because it’s about showing kindness and compassion to others no matter who they are.
As members of this beautiful and awesome community called Tudor Oaks, we are each other’s neighbors. And as neighbors, we have to look out for one another and show kindness to each other. It doesn't mean that we will always agree with each other. But, it does mean that we do our best to have create a loving and peaceful atmosphere for one another so that everyone who comes through our doors will feel welcome and want to know what makes us so special.
As always….God loves you, so do I and there’s nothing you can do about it! Blessings, Pastor Michelle
