Clothes for Ukraine
Do you have wearable clean clothes that you would like to donate to a worthy cause? Men, women and children need clothing. The residents of Ukraine have nothing but the clothes on their backs. The clothing will be given to the refugees that come here and what is le昀 will be distributed and sent overseas by the Church of Ukraine. Place dona琀ons in bags or boxes, label them Ukraine and leave them in the Poplar Lifestyle room. Thank you from the grateful people of Ukraine.

Employee Highlight: Stephen Wieting
Our employee highlight for this month is Stephen Wieting. Stephen has worked at Tudor Oaks a combined time of 3 years and 5 months, March 2017-July 2020, then March 2023 to the present. He is Tudor Oaks Dining Room Manager. Stephen states his first “job” was mowing lawns in his subdivision, starting at the age of 12. His first “real” job was at Bartz’s Party Store from 2015-2017 as a store associate and shift lead. He left Bartz’s and came to Tudor Oaks as a dish/pot washer. In 2020 Stephen left to work for a Lawn Care Company and then started driving a semi truck for a company his friend and he had established. He drove heavy haul, contracting with waste management, hauling garbage and recycling out of transfer stations to land fills and/or recycling centers. He unfortunately broke his right ankle in late January and needed surgery in early February which met he was unable to drive truck. Stephen came back to Tudor Oaks to fill in the Dining Room Manager spot and we are happy to have him back!
Stephen has lived in Muskego his entire life. He attended Muskego High School and graduated in 2018. He is
still living in Muskego in a house he purchased in 2021. He loves hiking, boating, detailing his jeep, and having bonfires. His free time is spent doing yard work, cleaning the house, hanging out with friends and doing home renovation projects in his new home. Stephen also likes walking his three dogs, Shredder (7 years old), Lola (6 years old) , and Chase (5 years old). He also has a cat, Benjamin, who is 2 years old. If he could have a dream vacation it would be to Iceland or maybe to a warmer spot in Jamaica. His biggest vacation has been to Cancun in 2018 for a wedding.
Some interesting facts about Stephen: he had a hedgehog for a pet and his birthday is all 9”s: 9/9/1999!
Resident Highlight: Harriet Ehrick
Harriet was the youngest girl of four and born and raised in Michigan City, IN. Her mother stayed home with the children while her father was a furniture maker commu琀ng about an hour each direc琀on to Chicago every day. She went to school at Je昀erson and Elstone High School in Indiana where she was a drum major. She met her future husband, Billy Lee, at a football game where he was wai琀ng to take the 昀eld. They dated for three years while he was away in the service before ge ng engaged. A昀er a 1 ½ year engagement they were married. They honeymooned in New Orleans and were married for 57 years. They had one son, Douglas. Douglas married Sue and they gave Harriet one grandson and one granddaughter; followed by 昀ve greatgrandchildren. Harriet started working at the Northern Indiana Public Service Company while she was in high school and con琀nued to work there for 19 years. Billy worked for AllisChalmers and was transferred to West Allis. They lived in Racine where Harriet kept busy
doing counted cross s琀tching. One of Harriet’s favorite vaca琀on memories from when she was younger, was spending the same week each year at the same cabin her family rented in Ludington, Michigan. They enjoyed 昀shing each 琀me they visited. For many years, Harrie琀 and Billy relished their trips to the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. They gambled, watched the shows, and visited Lake Mead along with Hoover Dam. One favorite trip to Las Vegas was when her granddaughter, Becky, turned 21 years old. Twenty -one members of their family a琀ended, all having a blast! Her daughter in -law Sue’s father, Warren Moldenhauer, lived here at Tudor Oaks so when Harriet was looking for a re琀rement community, she thought it would be helpful to be in the same facility as Warren. She is very social, has many friends, and enjoys living in Windsor House. She is always playing games or par琀cipa琀ng in the 昀oor ac琀vi琀es and a琀ending presenta琀ons in the Tudor Oaks theater.

A Cat Goes To Heaven
A cat dies and goes to Heaven. God meets him at the gate and says, “you have been a good cat all of these years. Anything you desire is yours, all you have to do is ask.” The cat says, “Well, I lived all my life with a poor family on a farm and had to sleep on hardwood floors.” God says, “Say no more.” And instantly, a fluffy pillow appears.
A few days later, 6 mice are killed in a tragic accident and they go to Heaven. God meets them at the gate with the same offer that He made to the cat. The mice said, “All our lives we’ve had to run. Cats, dogs. And even women with brooms have chased us. If we could only have a pair of roller skates, we wouldn’t have to run anymore.” God says, “Say no more.” And instantly, each mouse is fitted with a beautiful pair of tiny roller skates.
About a week later, God decided to check and see how the cat is doing. The cat is sound asleep on his new pillow. God gently wakes him and asks, “How are you doing? Are you happy here?” The cat yawns and stretches and says, “Oh, I’ve never been happier in my life. And those Meals on Wheels you’ve been sending over are the best!”
