Resident Highlights Marjorie Pierce celebrated her birthday on March 26th with her two daughters and their husbands. It was the first time they were all together since Christmas 2019.

She is looking forward to seeing her four grandsons and one great-granddaughter very soon.

Marge and Dennis attended most of their grandsons’ school activities from preschool thru college. The boys especially liked when Grandma and Grandpa would visit them at college and take them out for a meal. They would do this several times a year for each of the four boys. One particular trip she recalls was a month long vacation to Australia with a group from the club.

Other trips included New Zealand, Jamaica, Mexico and even an Alaskan cruise.

They met many nice people and even hosted a few couples during conventions held here.

Employee Spotlight Candi Schneider Hometown/schooling/currently reside: I am from Franklin, Wisconsin. In fact, I live in the house I grew up in. My parents live there in a mother-in-law suite they built for my grandma. I live with my husband and daughter. My son just bought a house last summer.

Current Position: I am the unit secretary for Assisted Living and Memory Care areas.

What is your favorite food?

I really enjoy eating anything someone else makes for me!!! That is, anything but seafood.

What are your interests/hobbies?

I like to golf and play Sheepshead. I enjoy baking and reading too. I volunteer with my daughter’s Special Olympics team. Going to summer fairs and festivals is also a favorite pastime.

What is your favorite movie?

Ocean’s Eleven—the newer version with George Clooney.

What are you most thankful for?

I am thankful for my family and friends.

What is your dream vacation?

If I weren’t afraid to fly, I would say Italy! I think the food would be fabulous. Otherwise, I’d enjoy anything peaceful like a cabin by a lake with a fire pit outside.

Who would you most like to meet?

I don’t have a solid answer for this because I believe if I met a “famous person” or important personality, I would get tongue tied and not be able to talk anyway! I am a huge Beatles fan, so I would probably say Paul McCartney would be impressive to meet because he is a musical genius.

Popcorn Is Back!

News and Notes The Catholic Service Committee has been working diligently to resume mass. The first scheduled service will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021! All residents who are identified as Catholic will receive a letter from Rita Hendrickson with more details.

Heritage Presbyterian will have a worship service on Sunday, May 2, 2021at 10:00am. Therefore, the chapel service led by Chaplain of Tudor Oaks will be canceled for that day.

Spring is here and soon it will be warm enough to move our plants from the greenhouse to our patios and balconies. Please try to move as many of your plants as possible out of the greenhouse

by June 1st. During the summer we can have the greenhouse given a deep cleaning.
