Dear Friend of ABHM, As we celebrate this holiday season and reflect on the past year we give thanks for the many blessings we enjoy each day. More importantly, it is a time to share our blessings with family, friends, and those less fortunate. That was the mission when ABHM was founded in 1930, and today we are reaffirming and Denver, CO

renewing that mission as never before.

A core strategy in our strategic plan has been to “position ABHM programs and services as community assets,� and in 2010 we began an ambitious repositioning of ABHM with comprehensive campus and program re-development initiatives to increase the number of people we serve and enhance their quality of life. When all of the projects currently underway are completed in 2017 we will increase the number of people served by 14%, from 1,274 to 1,455, and by

2020 we will see a further increase to 1,518 (19%). More importantly we continue to exceed industry benchmarks for customer satisfaction for our independent living, assisted living, memory care and developmentally disabled residents and their families, and we are on-track to do the same for our skilled nursing communities as we near completion of those remodeling projects. Those are some of the metrics we use to measure mission effectiveness, but throughout 2015 we have described the many ways that ABHM enriches the lives of the people we serve and the people we employ.
