“We love the period features. We have retained the period wooden sash windows. We had them all rebuilt a few years ago and they work beautifully and are infinitely adjustable to let in just the right amount of air. We’ve also retained all of the period doors and locks, as well as the wrought iron balustrades and plaster cornices. It’s like living inside a work of art! It’s cosy but spacious and inviting all year round. Being at the top of the building at the top of the town there is normally a nice breeze. It’s lovely to sleep with the windows open during the warmer months. While during the winter the apartment glows with warmth and it becomes hard to leave. A snow fall in the gardens in the square gives delightful picture postcard views from the rooms at the front of the building. While at the back of the building there is a lovely snowy perspective across the roofs stretching out towards the north of the town.”

The current owners bought the property after having lived abroad for four years and were looking to settle down and start a family in the property.

Having since been transferred overseas again for the next few years they will be disappointed to leave behind the property and the surrounding areas. “We love our apartment, we love the location, we love Leamington and we love Warwickshire but unfortunately it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll be able to move back anytime soon.
