SELLER INSIGHT
We were moving away from the hustle and bustle of London and wanted a new home in a peaceful village setting where we could immerse ourselves in country living whilst still being close to good amenities, so this location was absolutely ideal for us. Set on a quiet road on a superb plot overlooking the village green, we knew that this property would be perfect for us,” say the owners.

“Locals secretly refer to the area as the Gem of South Cambridgeshire as once you’re here, you won’t want to leave! The Parish council is incredible at organising local events and maintaining the village, so it always looks neat and tidy. The village pub is the gathering point for events such as BBQs and pizza parties and it’s just an all-round fantastic place to live. We can be in the countryside within a few minutes from our doorstep and it’s the perfect place to walk dogs, run, and cycle in a beautiful open space. National Trust enthusiasts will love nearby Wimpole which is within easy walking distance or just a short drive away.”
“We have done a lot of work to the garden to create a wonderful space for children and adults. It’s a real sun trap and sheltered from the wind, so we can be outside in sunshine from morning until late evening. The barked area at the bottom of the garden is currently set up as a playground for our children but it could just as easily be utilised as additional seating or hot tub area. We celebrated a special birthday here with 60 guests where we enjoyed a BBQ on the decking area and there was plenty of space for seating and guests to mingle.”
“We wake up to the sound of the birds singing and go to sleep looking up at the stars, yet it’s only an hour into central London which is ideal for hybrid working. My study is a lovely place to work from home as it overlooks the village green with only the sound of children playing in the distance and the occasional cricket match to punctuate the peace and quiet. The open plan living arrangement comes into its own when we’re entertaining and the snug is the ideal space to retreat to when in need of some quiet time. It’s set up for a full cinematic experience with a huge tv and speakers in the ceiling, so it’s also great for watching sport and family films together.”*
