The upstairs sitting room is another favourite space, with its double aspect log burner and a balcony looking out over the fields.” Outside, the garden serves as an extension of the indoor living and entertaining spaces. “The garden looks straight out into the surrounding countryside,” the owners say, “with al fresco furniture allowing us to sit back and enjoy the view. Our children love the ‘secret’ path which runs around the side of the garden, while the ample lawns have played host to countless birthday celebrations and children’s parties.” The local area has much to recommend too. “We are very close to Alresford town, which is a lovely place to potter around the shops or stop to feed the ducks,” say the owners. “Winchester is within easy reach in the other direction for further amenities, too. The best part of living here is being surrounded by beautiful countryside, watching the sun rise over the fields first thing in the morning, until it sets at night.”*
