We take pride in the pleasing aesthetic of the garden, having screened off utilities and the shed with willow hurdles. The enclosed herb garden, vegetable patch and greenhouse – it is such a joy to watch things grow and bring them from garden to table.”

Indeed, it is partly the outdoor lifestyle which makes this property so appealing. “We love the peace and quiet of the hamlet’s rural aspect,” say the owners, “with ancient woodland on one side, and agricultural land on the other. It is fantastic to be able to step out of our door onto miles of bridleways and footpaths. Enjoyment of the countryside is an interest common to all who live in Crowfield, and we often bump into friends and neighbours when out walking – we often joke that people here tend to greet one another by the names of their dogs! Watching the lambs in the fields in spring is a pleasure which never gets old, too. Yet, despite the tranquil setting, we are well placed for amenities and education, with at least two good village schools close by, and secondary schools just four miles away in the next town.”*
