Seller Insight This is a house which truly speaks for itself,” says the vendor of this detached property on the Village Green in the Warwickshire parish of Long Itchington. “It is simply a lovely house in a wonderful location. Quite unique in the village, the house has large front windows looking out across the lawn over onto the Green, which also mean that the house itself is extremely light, with natural daylight streaming in to illuminate the home.” The garden too is extremely desirable, having had much love and care put into it. “My mother is a fantastic gardener,” says the vendor, “so it is always a lovely surprise every year to see what shoots up from the ground or bursts into full bloom in Spring. “My mother’s flowers were all grown from seed so it is wonderful to see them coming into fruition. It is a truly beautiful substantial cottage garden, with exquisite planting, lawn and barbecue area. There is also a trellised seating area with lavender growing around it, which is just idyllic.” The location of the property is not only quiet and peaceful but also very convenient. “Due to the good schools and easy access to the M40, the area is very popular with families and commuters alike,” says the vendor. Surrounded by stunning English countryside, the location also has the benefit of Leamington Spa and Southam’s amenities within easy reach, also offering good transport links to Coventry and the business centres of the Midlands. “This is a lovely quiet area, with all necessary amenities and 3 or 4 really good local pubs. It really does offer a tranquil village lifestyle.” “People do really get to know one another in the village, as there is a friendly sense of community and people tend to stay for a long time. Some of the neighbours have lived here for 35 or 40 years, happy to stay where they are and enjoy life in the village.” “The many flowers my mother cultivated come into bloom every Spring and are a delight to behold, in all their different colours and varieties.” “This is a superb family home, which with its huge front lawn has played host to many picnics on a blanket in the garden. It is not at all overlooked and very private, so you would think you were in the middle of the countryside!”
