Seller Insight Northwick Crescent is a very large and attractive family home that enjoys a superb tucked-away location just a few minutes walk from Solihull town centre. The house was built in the late 1980s, but in recent years it has been both extended and beautifully modernised by the current owners. “We purchase the house almost 9 years ago,” says Yvonne, “and at that time it could only be described as a bit of a wreck. It had been rented out for many years, so was totally unloved, but my husband and I could see that it had huge potential. In the past few years we’ve totally transformed it by adding a lovely big extension and updating the décor throughout. It’s now much more condusive to modern family living and it looks absolutely gorgeous; everyone who visits says wow.” “Upstairs the extension has given us a huge en-suite master bedroom with a Juliette balcony that overlooks the garden, and downstairs we knocked through the kitchen to create a really fabulous open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with bi-fold doors that open an entire corner of the room. It’s a brilliant space for both day-to-day family life and superb for entertaining. It’s definitely my favourite part of the house. In the middle of the house we have a generous room that we currently use as a lounge for the children,” says Yvonne. “However, it’s a very flexible space that could easily be transformed into a really lovely formal dining room.” “I suppose the biggest change that we made to the garden was to add a lovely big patio terrace that can, not only be accessed via the bi-folds in the living area, but also French doors from the formal lounge, so there’s a lovely connection between house and garden,” continues Yvonne. “The rest of the space is laid to lawn so it’s very easy to maintain, which leaves us more time to sit out and enjoy it.” “For us as a family the location has been ideal,” says Yvonne. “The house is tucked away on this peaceful crescent, but everything is within easy reach. We can walk into Solihull, which has great shops and amenities, there are schools at the end of the road and there are so many wideopen green spaces to enjoy.” “I’ll miss what we’ve done to the house,” says Yvonne. “The layout is superb and it’s modern and so beautiful throughout. Everyone who visits falls in love with it.” These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. They have not been independently verified, should not be relied on without verification and do not necessarily reflect the views of the agent.
