Messiah In The Old Testament Episode 7

Scientific Creation Story
Welcome to Messiah In The Old Testament. We’re continuing our journey today looking at creation stories from around the world. We've been to many places so far. Last episode, we were in Egypt looking at the story that came from all the funerary texts and the pyramids. And we told you that the story of creation actually has been brought into your world and my world. If you look on the back your one-dollar bill you'll see the pyramid on the back with the all-seeing eye. That is symbolic of the pyramidion or the all-seeing eye of Ra which had a part in the creation story. So, you're carrying in your wallet part of that Egyptian creation story. In fact, we see a lot of the creation stories, parts have been brought into our current culture. Today we’re going to stop right here in the United States of America at the current time. Not looking at ancient cultures. Not looking at what people believed in generations past. But looking at what is being taught in our schools and what is the current theory on the origin of the universe, a scientific explanation of how and where life began. So, it's interesting when you start looking at the theories over the years. Theories have come, theories have gone. There are the RNA people who believe that the origin of life started with RNA. And others who said it started with metabolic processes. And talked about the underwater hot vents in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and how the temperature differentials and the acid gradient, the protons inside and outside the vents led to these metabolic processes. All of these theories have come and gone. The current theory which has any
traction is the whole membrane theory and that's what's currently being taught. So that's what I will tell you about today.
Now in the beginning, the current scientific creation story begins at ground zero, at point zero, at a very infinitesimally small point which is not even in the universe because the universe hasn't been created yet. There is no space, no stars, there’s nothing. There's just this point of energy at the very beginning of time. When time starts, there is a giant explosion and the energy is released all at once in the so-called Big Bang. The energy is released in all directions and it travels at the speed of light. The temperature inside this vortex of energy which is coming out is measured in the billions and billions and billions of degrees centigrade far hotter than any [star] body in the current universe. The hottest temperatures are estimated to be somewhere around a hundred million degrees in some of the hottest stars. This was even much hotter than that. As the universe began then to expand with this energy being thrown out, the universe expanded as a unit, as the energy expanded at the speed of light.

As this energy got further and further from ground zero, this energy started to dissipate somewhat, the temperatures dropped, things cooled to the point where energy then was able to transform into matter. So, then there was a conversion process where energy was converted.

And there were positively charged particles and negatively charged particles. The protons and electrons and they started interacting with each other and the electrons started traveling around the protons and we created them our first atom. It's hydrogen. There were then all these hydrogen atoms throughout the universe and these created giant gas clouds and they congealed.

And as these gas clouds gradually cooled and condensed then there were parts where enough of these atoms got together, they created a gravitational pull. And they then condensed into stars.
These stars then began to burn and using the matter within the star as fuel and these suns burned for eons and eons. And as these suns consumed all of their matter, then they went supernova and exploded.
As the stars exploded, then there was this huge bump in energy and heat again which caused the molecules to fuse. So, hydrogen then became helium and then more and more complex atoms were created, as this process happened throughout the universe with the supernovas of stars and then the whole gas clouds. And things just got more and more

complex with larger and larger elements that were being created within all these star factories.
There was a star, a giant star, which was in our vicinity that went supernova just like all the other primordial stars. And when the star went supernova, it created all the elements necessary for life to begin. So, all these elements were in this giant gas cloud surrounding where the star went supernova.

And these [elements within] the gas cloud then condensed into a new star. And that was our sun and the leftover parts then became all the planets that circled the sun. On the third planet, which of course is our planet, on planet earth. It was positioned just right, just far enough from the sun that it could sustain life. All the other planets were either too hot or too cold. There was no way life could begin. But on earth, conditions were just right.

So, the earth was molten and volcanic at first and it started cooling. And as it cooled, the surface began to condense and also within the surface water molecules begin to condense. And they then turned into water. That water then leached minerals out of the surface of the earth and we got our first oceans.

So, the oceans were present, there was land and there was ocean. But the oceans became very salty and the salinity is due to the chemicals that they leached out of the surface of the earth. So, the ocean then was the incubator for new life.
It is believed that within the ocean, some crude membranes developed, not like the membranes that are currently encasing my cells and your

cells, but there were crude membranes. And within these protective membranes chemicals began interacting. As the chemicals interacted, they started creating molecules. And the molecules then began to become more and more complex.

Now they weren’t living cells yet, they were just membranes with chemical reactions going on within them. Eventually things became complex enough that our first single cell organism was created and it was able to sustain itself for a long period of time and was able to reproduce. And so, these cells began reproducing and so all the single cell organisms began to populate the oceans of the earth.
Now, eventually they evolved to the point where they could take in the sunlight and they could convert that sunlight into oxygen. So, you had all these millions and billions and trillions and quadrillions of cells that were producing oxygen. And that oxygen went up out of the ocean and then became the atmosphere. And ozone was created in the same way, the ozone layer. So, then we had the protective layer of the ozone layer around the oxygen layer. And this then was the cradle for more complex life to begin.
So, these one celled organisms began to attach to each other. And this whole process was taking place over billions and billions of years. So, for dates: the original big bang was estimated to be 13.8 billion years ago. Our sun was estimated to be created 5 billion years ago. And the processes where the oxygen is being created and in populating the atmosphere was approximately 3 billion years ago. There is no way, obviously, to know because all this was happening before man was around. So, the cells began to attach to one another and they began to form multicellular organisms.

And these organisms began to do things and began to interact [with each other]. And eventually the first plants and animals were created within the ocean from these random cells sticking to each other. And then things became more and more and more complex. Plants grew, fish and all the aquatic animals grew and eventually the plants and animals came up out of the ocean and then populated the dry ground on the Earth's crust. The plants then covered the earth.

The animals then began to evolve and become these giant ecosystems. And man was not around yet, but it was just animals which are going from lower forms to higher forms to higher forms to higher forms. Now it’s believed that there was one branch of animals that had higher intelligence and higher ability to communicate.

And those were the Primates and specifically the apes out of the primates were the smartest. And these apes then developed into the precursors of man. And then about 100,000 years ago, the first primordial man was created or evolved out of the apes. The man was only able to function crudely with sticks and weapons like that. Man, eventually learn how to hunt and to fish. And man learned how to harness fire and there was some primitive communication.

There are cave paintings from somewhere around 15 to 20,000 years ago where are pictures of animals and [men] hunting the animals, pictures of mammoths and all kinds of stuff. So, man, then further evolved from this primitive form into a higher intelligence form that could communicate, could write, could read, could communicate with each other. And then the tools came along.
The tools such as knives and spears and bows and arrows and wheels and wedges and levers and all the tools that allowed men to accomplish more.

He used fire then, to heat his house and fire to fuel his machines that ran on steam. And then eventually switched over to coal and other energy

sources. And the whole age, the Industrial Revolution happened. And then man is continuing to evolve beyond that into the modern day. It’s cited that man has been able to understand the principles of subatomic particles, physics, all sorts of facets of medicine and understanding the metabolic processes going on, which of course is my field, computers and now artificial intelligence. These are all cited as man continuing to evolve and the thought is that artificial intelligence may be our next mode of evolution into the next life form. So, this is a very comprehensive and complete view of all the processes that happened from the Big Bang at the very beginning when there was absolutely nothing now to where we have the earth and man and all the problems that have come from man's population of the earth, the pollution and all the other stuff that comes with it. So, this was just to balance all of the other creation stories for those out there who don't believe in any kind mythological creation story. And I categorize all stories is myths including the Old Testament story. So, I give this as a gift to you. This is your creation story and you have faith to believe that all of these events happened and are continuing to happen. So, I welcome you to join me next time for our final installation in the creation stories from around the world. We’re going to look at the Old Testament creation story. This is a story that has captivated the imagination of men and women from around the world. It's affected all cultures. It is the most taught story throughout all of history and there are many people who believe very strongly that this is the story of creation and that it is a very literal story of creation. So, we’ll talk more about that as we introduce our next story in the next episode. So, join me then for our continuing journey throughout the world looking at the creation stories.
Thank you for watching our show today. We hope that you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Now, after watching this episode you might be saying to yourself, “Who is this Messiah that Dr. Smith is talking about?

Is he talking about the Christian Messiah? Is he talking about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was born of the Virgin Mary. And then lived a blameless and holy life on the earth, And then was tortured and crucified. And after he died he then was resurrected from the dead after three days. Then after people witnessed this, he was then taken up bodily by Elohim into heaven from the Mount of Olives.

Or is Dr. Smith talking about the Muslim prophet Isa. Isa Ibn Maryam, the messenger, who was sent by Allah to bring a message to the people. The Quran says he that lived a holy and blameless life, was born of the virgin Mary. He fulfilled all the Jewish prophecies in exact accordance. But one difference, instead of being crucified, he then was taken up by Allah into heaven before the Romans laid hands on him. And he awaits there now in the fourth heaven where at the end of days at the day of judgment he will be revealed to all.

Or is Dr. Smith talking about the Jewish Messiah? The Messiah who has not yet been revealed, that the entire Jewish world is waiting for his revelation. Now, the beautiful thing is that you can hold to any of these beliefs. And we can all still learn together about Messiah. We can learn about our Christian Messiah. We can learn about our Jewish Messiah. We can learn about our Muslim prophet Isa who will be revealed. It doesn’t matter what you believe. You can even be an atheist or agnostic and still learn from this program about Messiah. Now, I have to admit I am a Christian so I approach things, obviously, from a Christian point of view. And I promise you, as we reveal these prophecies, which I believe have all been fulfilled through Jesus Christ. Or will be fulfilled when he

comes back, returning in the clouds in the same way he was taken up. I believe that all of this is true, but I promise you I will do my very best to present these prophecies from a neutral point of view. And try to keep my Christian bias to a minimum. Obviously, it will pop up from time to time but I will try to stay only in the Tanakh and try not to get into the New Testament very often. Now, if you want more information about Messiah, we have resources for you.
We have a website which is findingmessiah.org. Now, on that website you are going to find several resources. You will find links to all the videos, all the episodes that we have created so far. You will find links to download the transcripts of any of these episodes. And then you will find a section where you can get more information about Messiah through frequently asked questions. And then there is a section for donation. If you want to come alongside our ministry at Finding Messiah.

Now, there’s going to come a time in this series where you are going to be confronted with the question: What are you going to do with Messiah? Who do you believe Messiah is? Which of these Messiahs do

you believe Dr. Smith is talking about? And Messiah will become real to you if you look at all the information presented and come to your conclusions. So, join us as we continue our journey through the Old Testament Scriptures looking for all the Messianic Prophecies. And join us next time as we reveal those to you.
